Hope you’ll stay a while and read below.

Picture this.  It is just before sunrise.  You’ve been up for hours just to make sure to catch the sweet light.  You’re not the least bit tired.  Just looking at the mountain tops shrouded in mist and the gentle beams of light slowly poking over the horizon, makes it all worth while.  You click the shutter and, presto, this image is yours forever, just as it was at that very moment.

It’s the thrill of capturing that perfect moment that gets us out of bed at 3 AM.  Photographers look at this as normal.  All others think we’re missing a screw or two.  Never mind.  We understand each other, if not non-photogs.

Now, a little backtrack. My other blog, Can We Talk? had way too many categories.  My readers got confused.  After a while, so did I. So, I decided to start this blog, concentrating on photography and photo editing.  Now, don’t get me mixed up with an expert.  I am still learning.  The learning never stops. I have included links that I found helped me tremendously. I hope they help you, too. And if any of you out there can put your expert opinions in here, so much the better.

I have found a number of invaluable websites that have helped me become a better photographer/photo editor, and would like to share them with you.

As of this writing, I am still in the process or transferring old posts, so you will see that they are all in the wrong order.  That will change in time, I hope.

The following are, in my opinion, some of the best links to help us with digital photography and photo manipulation/editing.

  • The Radiant Vista They offer courses.  Some people just swear by them. Great website and they’re just super guys.
  • Digital Photography School.  They also have a wonderful forum.  Very active. Very helpful.
  • Pro Photo Secrets This is one of my favourites because he walks you through photoshop, step by step, via video.
  • The Luminous Landscape You can download tutorials and they too have a good Forum. They are geared for landscape photography.

It’s a start.  Over time, I will be adding more.   I won’t be adding them willi-nilly.  If you have a super website you’d like to promote, drop me a line.

But enough with all this talk. Come read my posts
