- Comply with the instructions and requirements of inspection test according to process control & Instrumentation testing method; Perform various duties associated with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading equipment; Configuration, installation and startup of complete automation system. Operation and maintenance of the equipment/machine used in industrial process control. Programming of process control systems.
- Set up equipment, provide online support and perform corrective and preventive maintenance; Install, repair, calibrate, test and maintain PLCs, SCADA/Control systems. Perform control panel, VFD panel, automation panel wirings and continuity, loop test in factory,
- Perform preventive and emergency maintenance of control equipment, prepare and record all details of equipment maintenance; Provide remote support to our clients. Test, inspect and maintain automation systems and create technical reports. Perform automation, install and commissioning. Testing and energization of various automation equipment; Create FAT, SAT and various testing plans and procedures. Review and check construction and vendor drawings for verifications. – – – Perform Instruments testing with HART or other calibrators. Rectify punch list and prepare red line marked-up for modifications and as-built. Red markup drawings and updates on AutoCAD, Help Estimation and sales department for technical. Lead junior technician as and when required.
- Promote all aspects of safety to the field technicians and ensure all LOTO and electrical safety procedures are followed. Create instrument index, datasheets, site visit and cause & effect, PFD, and control narratives.
- Set up install, commissioning & execution procedures. Assist in the development of drawings and other project management activities.
- Pre-comm and commissioning of PLC/SCADA/HMI/VFDs and control systems. Effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work a flexible schedule, including call-in and overtime on nights and weekends.
- Provide support to customers with a 24X7 approach. Participate in field verifications and study. Report to Project manager for the assigned project work.QA/QC formats, calibration documentation, installation methods, checklist. Set up all automation software in the computer and manage all the software. Following safe work procedures at customer place and maintaining documentation for safety & hazardous work assessment.Work with sub trades. Essential functions of this job are frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach hand and arms. You would have to perform field work often in difficult conditions and be capable of lifting.
- Assist engineering consultant for designing & engineering for instrumentation team in project.
- Site coordination and project coordination. Participate in project planning and QA/QC. Review and check construction and vendor drawings for verifications.Make recommendations to improve operations. Self-directed with minimal supervision.
- Frequent site visits, travel within the province and outside. Operate, maintain, and install complex equipment. Effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Participate in field verifications and study. Always adhere to the Health and Safety Act.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements.
- Min 4-7 years of experience on Schneider control expert, Unity and M580/M340 controllers, Rockwell Controllogix, SLC, Compactlogix system.
- Driver licenses required.
- In depth process automation programming, testing and commissioning experience.
